Another fabulous day! Our whole school walked to the Lysnar Reserve and ran the challenging cross country course. It was a great effort by all pupils who persisted and completed their particular run, encouraged by their school mates and a large group of parents. It was great to see the whole hearted support for all runners no matter where they...
Tom made a rocket for his science fair project. Sam helps Tom with the initial take-off. Tom's project has created a lot of interest throughout the school!

They use their books to show the progress they have made. We use goal guidelines and benchmark sheets to report progress in relation to the National Standards. Our students share their goals with...
In Term 3 we are focussing on Science. Classes are really enjoying learning through doing science experiments.
During Term 3 we are having weekly Rugby and Netball games with other local schools.
Our end of Term fun day for Term 2 was Wacky Hair and Wheels day. We brought a coin to raise money for Autism and had a parade to check out all the wonderful hairdos.
We have built a fabulous new library, designed by Chris Shaw - Pacific Modern Architecture. Recently Chris won two architecture awards for the library. A big thanks to all the tradesmen from D. Stevens Ltd who worked so well with us. It is very well utilised by the students and teachers.
Once a term we are going to have a celebration of some sort. In Term 1 the students (and teachers) could dress up. The whole school went to the beach where they had a treasure hunt in pairs with their buddies. It was a beautiful day and a fun time for everyone.
In February all our Year 6 pupils went to Camp Kaitawa at Lake Waikaremoana for 5 days. They had a great group of teachers and parents go with them. The weather was fine and they had a wonderful time.
Within the school we pair up a younger child with an older child as 'buddies.' We find this works really well for us as there are lots of opportunities for this pair to work and play together. It encourages older children to take responsibility for a younger child and the little children have an older one who 'belongs' to them....
We had a fabulous day for our athletic sports on 3 November. Everyone participated and did their best. We had lots of parents supporting us.
During the last week of Term 4 2009, our youngest students had a wonderful time with water, bubbles and bringing their skateboards and scooters to school.
